Head Department of Agronomic and Horticultural crops for two sessions(2013 – 2018) at Al Neelain University, Khartoum, Sudan, teaching academic modules, supervising experimental research and running departmental affairs: • Updating the syllabus by introducing new courses, supervising the establishment of vineyards in the college which is considered one of the new crops in the region , the establishment of vegetable farms in the college. • More than 25 years experience in academic, practical field work and experimental research. My practical experience started in Federal Ministry of Agriculture(the Adminstration of Agricultural Affairs), Sudan, including the planning of agricultural schemes, inspection, organization of work, management, supervision, data collection and reporting. • Experimental research relates primarily to genetics and plant breeding, which resulted in the development of two new groundnut cultivars and the improvement of existing qualities(Agricultural Research Corporation, Sudan). • Acquired two awards:- The first award, for the successful rehabilitation of mango project at Al-Jamoum, Saudi Arabia, Arab Poultry Breeders Company. The second award, for the release and development of two new groundnut cultivars with other workers, approved by the National Scientific Committee for the approval of new cultivars. • Occupational experience ranges from agricultural engineer at the Ministry of Agriculture , Sudan, University of Al Neelain staff member, research scientist at Agricultural Research Corporation, Sudan, and agricultural engineer at the Arab Poultry Breeders Company, Saudi Arabia.
