The course aims to give the student a brief description of information systems in general, and manual accounting information systems and in the computer environment in particular, about their inputs, outputs and operating processes, and applications to spending and revenue cycles. Understand the objectives and procedures of internal control and in manual systems and the computer environment.

Technical Diploma

The course aims to develop the students understanding of the characteristics of information management, and using information systems, to provide effective decision-making at all levels of the organization by providing an up-to-date, relevant and high quality education in Management, Information Systems and Innovation in a research–active environment for students from a wide range of backgrounds. Furthermore, it aims to provide an understanding of the changing role of information systems in Contemporary organizations and the issues that affect their management and development. The program highlights the use of web-based and emerging technologies and networks to explore issues relevant to information systems development in the context of modern business environments and needs. It also aims to introduce students to the systems theory in management and the concept of different type of information systems, and to the importance of information systems and their role in the rationalization of the administrative decision and in raising the performance in different organization.

This course introduces systems development methodologies, requirements analysis, process and data modeling, system design fundamentals, systems implementation and quality and maintenance issues.

The course focuses on understanding how to design information systems with an emphasis on application structuring and modeling. The course also explains how to design databases, outputs, inputs, and end-user interfaces. The course also addresses construction, implementation, and maintenance processes using the Unified Modeling Language.
